Two days in Prague and a hundred tabs open, am I right? Too many maps, too many blogs, too many opinions about which castle actually matters.
That’s the exact mess this list is here to fix. No fluff, no filler days spent wandering in circles wondering what’s actually worth your time.
I scrolled through way more Prague photos than I’d like to admit, lol! I kept only the stops that are doable in a weekend, easy on the wallet. Genuinely so pretty in person.
This isn’t a strict hour by hour schedule. Think of it more like a menu, pick what sounds good and skip what doesn’t. Who doesn’t love options?
Some of these fit right into a tight two day trip. A few others work as an easy side trip if you’ve got extra time to spare.

PRAGUE ITINERARY 2 DAYS
Prague Castle Sunrise Walk
We’re starting off strong with sunrise at Prague Castle! I show up before the tour buses so the courtyard is basically mine.
The light hits the spires and every photo looks staged, even the bad ones. She hasn’t stopped talking about it since, lol!

Charles Bridge Morning Stroll
Charles Bridge before the crowds hits completely different. I walk it slow because the statues get soft morning light and nobody’s selling anything yet.
There’s no rush here. Rushing kind of ruins the point, honestly. Who wants to sprint past six hundred years of history?
Old Town Square Afternoon
Old Town Square in the afternoon is chaos in the best way! I always end up on the same bench watching everyone hold a trdelnik.
This is a solid lunch stop before the second half of the day. People watch for a bit, then keep moving. Grab a bench near the fountain if you can find one, haha!
Astronomical Clock Show Stop
The Astronomical Clock show happens every hour and lasts about a minute. I once blinked and missed the little skeleton ringing his bell completely!
Get there five minutes early or you’ll stand behind fifty raised phones. Learned that one the hard way!

Lennon Wall Photo Spot
Lennon Wall photographs better than expected, layers of paint over paint. I always forget a marker and end up borrowing one from a stranger.
Bring your own if you want to leave a tiny mark. Plenty of people do, lol! Someone even left a tiny doodle of a cat last time I visited.
Petrin Hill Funicular Ride
Petrin Hill’s funicular feels like a tiny secret. Even though half of Prague knows about it, I always take it once my legs are done from Charles Bridge.
It climbs slow and the views open up higher. No shame in skipping the walk, right?

Jewish Quarter Afternoon Walk
The Jewish Quarter deserves a slow afternoon, not a rushed hour. I stopped mid step in the cemetery and just stood there for a while.
Narrow streets, old synagogues, a silence that catches you off guard. This part of the city feels nothing like the postcard squares nearby. How different can one neighborhood feel?
Vltava River Sunset Cruise
A sunset cruise on the Vltava sounds touristy until you’re actually on the boat! I booked one without a drink included and regretted it instantly.
The castle glowing pink over the water is something else. Check what’s included before you book, trust me, haha!

Dancing House Evening Photo
Dancing House lights up differently once the sun’s gone. I always time my walk back to dinner around it on purpose.
The whole building looks mid twirl, which is honestly the whole point. Five minutes, tops, but worth the detour. Not bad for something you just stumble past, right?
Prague Metro Ticket Guide
Buying the right metro ticket in Prague trips up almost everyone at least once. I grabbed a 24 hour pass at the airport kiosk and never looked back.
It covers metro, tram and bus, so no fumbling with coins! Out of all the prague travel tips floating around, this is the one that actually matters.

Figuring out where to actually stay makes or breaks a short trip. I always print a rough map before landing because I get turned around fast.
Old Town puts you close to everything but gets loud at night. Vinohrady stays quieter and it’s still an easy tram ride in. Worth the extra fifteen minutes, honestly.
Traditional Trdelnik Tasting Stop
She refuses to leave until she’s tried at least three stalls, no exceptions!
Watching it get rolled fresh right there is half the fun. Get the ice cream filled one if you want to go all in.
Either way you’re eating cinnamon sugar for breakfast and nobody’s judging you for it!

Prague Beer Garden Evening
A cider garden evening belongs on every prague bucket list ideas someone puts together. I show up early just to grab a decent bench.
Long wooden tables, cheap pints and a view that costs nothing extra. Letna is the classic pick for sunset. It fills up fast!

Vintage Tram Ride Photo
Riding one of the old wooden trams is a tiny bit of time travel. I rode number 22 by accident once and it turned into the best hour of the trip!
It passes most of the main sights, basically a tour in disguise. A moving photo booth. Somehow nobody’s ever charging admission, lol!
Prague Christmas Market Stroll
Prague’s Christmas markets turn Old Town Square into something out of a movie. I always underestimate the cold and end up buying a scarf I didn’t need, haha!
Twinkling lights, mulled cider, wooden ornaments you didn’t know you needed. Visit in the evening when the lights actually make a difference. Who doesn’t love a good excuse for hot cider?
Cesky Krumlov Castle Day Trip
Cesky Krumlov is the fairytale town everyone’s photos are secretly of. I set aside a full day for it and still felt rushed leaving.
The castle sits above a curving river, the old town looks hand painted. It’s a three hour round trip by bus. Worth every minute of it, honestly.

Kutna Hora Bone Church Visit
Kutna Hora’s bone church sounds morbid until you actually see it. I tried explaining it to friends afterward and just gave up halfway through, lol!
Chandeliers and garlands made entirely of human bones, arranged with real artistry. It’s strange, it’s beautiful. Words just don’t cover it.

Karlstejn Castle Hiking Trail
Karlstejn Castle sits at the top of a proper hike, not just a stroll. I saw someone attempt it in flip flops once and it did not end well, haha!
The trail winds through forest before the castle finally appears above the trees. Wear real shoes, your future self will thank you. How cute is that first glimpse of the towers though?

Terezin Memorial Day Trip
Last but definitely not least, Terezin deserves a quiet, thoughtful afternoon. I walked through slowly and barely spoke the whole time.
It’s a heavy stop among all these day trips from prague. It’s meant to be. Not every part of a trip needs to be lighthearted.
