20 Letter T Crafts for Preschool: Ideas and Images to Review

Looking for letter t crafts for preschool? Smiling turtles, striped tigers and colorful trees give you plenty of inspiration.

You can start with a big letter shape or choose a craft showing something that begins with T.

Keep things simple with cutouts or bring out the paint for a messier activity. The selections below include a few images that need checking or replacing before this collection is classroom-ready.

Have an adult help with cutting and supervise small craft pieces.

Letter T craft inspiration

smiling green turtle

We’re starting off strong with this super cute turtle. I love the dark green patches across its round shell and that little curved smile.

For your own version, try a pale blue background like this one. Keep the head and feet a lighter green so they’re easy to spot beside the shell.

striped tiger T

How cute is this tiger? The orange capital T has black stripes, a curling tail and a big pink nose.

Those oversized eyes make the face even sweeter.

Try adding a white muzzle over the middle of your letter. Leave plenty of the orange T showing around it.

leafy lowercase tree

This tree may just be one of my favorites here. I love the loose green strips piled above the brown lowercase t. Some hang down over the letter, which gives it that lovely messy look.

You could draw a bold lowercase t on blue paper and let your preschooler choose where the green pieces go.

toothbrush-painted T

Don’t want to cut out lots of little shapes? This painting idea gives you another option.

The picture shows toothbrushes spreading red and purple paint over a blue capital T.

Try a craft-only toothbrush with child-appropriate paint. You can leave the sweeping marks visible rather than aiming for one even color.

train tracks shaped like T

The train fans are going to love this! A black-and-white track forms a capital T, with red, yellow and green train cars sitting along the top.

I especially love how simple the cars are. For a similar collage, use bright rectangles with black circles for wheels.

handprint turkey feathers

How adorable is this turkey with its little hat? Red, yellow and orange handprint feathers spread out behind the brown body.

The uppercase and lowercase letters sit above it.

If you’re trying a handprint variation, choose paint labeled for that use. Keep the bright feathers as the main detail.

torn-piece tomato

I love this tomato collage. The red pieces have uneven edges and bits of printing, while the green stem sits against a background covered in black-and-white text.

For a simpler preschool version, you could offer red scraps and a plain background. There’s no need to fill every bit of the page.

blue tents and yellow stars

These little blue tents are so cute! Each has a triangular outline, a white doorway and a tiny orange campfire beside it.

The yellow stars are my favorite extra detail. You could add a few around your tent collage to give it the same nighttime setting.

tooth fairy with heart cheeks

This tooth fairy has so much going on, from the pink heart cheeks to the yellow crown. I love the oversized toothbrush beside the smiling tooth.

For letter practice, you could write T beside your version and point out both “tooth” and “toothbrush.” Keep the star wand if you want that extra fairy detail.

green tractor with yellow wheels

If you’re looking for a vehicle idea, this green tractor is worth saving. The black wheels have yellow centers, with a matching yellow roof above the open cab.

That little black steering wheel is such a good detail. You could add a separate T label beside your tractor rather than treating its body as an upright letter.

green and purple liners

These green and purple cupcake liners look lovely together, but this image only shows them being held and shaped. There isn’t a finished craft or a visible letter T connection.

This selection needs review. A picture of the completed project would help confirm whether it belongs here.

telephone with a curly cord

How cute is this little telephone? The blue upright tube has a white number panel, with a large red receiver across the top.

I especially love the curly blue cord. For your own preschool version, you could draw a cord on the background instead of adding a loose ribbon.

toucan with an orange beak

That giant orange beak is definitely the star of this toucan. The black body sits around the wrist, with a white face patch and hand-shaped black pieces hanging below.

You could borrow the same shapes for a flat collage if you’d rather skip the wearable version. Don’t forget the black tip on the beak.

yellow collage T

If you are looking for a simple letter-decorating idea, this one is for you. Yellow scraps and little character pictures fill a large outlined T on a green background.

Let your preschooler choose the scraps for their own version. I’d keep the dark outline so the letter still shows around the colorful pieces.

craft-stick letter I

This selection needs replacing for a letter T collection. The craft sticks form an uppercase I, with a round face and blue and green feathers above it.

The image is labeled for a different letter. It shouldn’t be presented as a T craft or renamed to make it fit.

turtle and gingham T graphic

I love the pale green checks behind this bold black T. Little green hearts surround the letter, with a turtle picture at the bottom.

This is a graphic rather than a photographed preschool craft, so the selection needs review. As a separate suggested activity, you could pair a large T cutout with a turtle drawing.

blue tornado activity jar

Want something a little different from a collage? This image is labeled as a tornado-in-a-jar activity.

It shows blue liquid, a closed lid and colorful little pieces at the bottom.

This is a science activity rather than a letter craft. The ingredients and method can’t be confirmed from the photo, so keep it pending until suitable instructions and adult-supervision guidance are checked.

simple tractor shapes

This is another green tractor idea, but it’s a little simpler than the one above. I love the large black wheels with yellow centers against the orange background.

The black seat and tilted steering wheel finish the picture. You could use larger precut shapes if your preschooler mainly wants to arrange and glue.

purple flower teapot

I am obsessed with this little purple teapot. The round center has dark flower shapes, with a curved handle on one side and a spout on the other.

Try a single favorite color for your own version. The separate lid and little knob are worth keeping because they make the teapot shape so clear.

orange tiger face

How sweet is this tiger face? Black stripes run across the bright orange circle, with rounded ears above and a big white muzzle in the middle.

I love the drawn whiskers and curved smile. For your own version, try broad black stripes so they stand out around the eyes.
