Looking for a january door wreath to fill that empty spot after the holidays? Snowy greenery, pale blue snowflakes and simple leafy hoops give you plenty to choose from.
There are a few door hangers and a lantern idea here too, plus some Christmas details you might want to swap out.
You can keep things simple or go all out with bows and little winter scenes. Start with the colors you love, then decide how much decoration you want around them.
Winter wreaths and door decorations to try
snowy pinecones and white berries
We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous mix of greenery and pinecones. I love the snowy white tips against the dark brown door.
The round white berry accents make it even prettier.
If you’re gathering door wreath ideas for january, save this one for its simple green, brown and white combination.
blue and white snowflakes
How pretty is this? The pale blue and white snowflakes overlap all around the wreath, with larger folded designs sitting above the smaller ones.
Those little pearl-like centers are my favorite detail. Keep them in your own version if you want a little shine without adding bright colors.
hanging pinecones
This wreath may just be one of my favorites here. Pinecones hang at different heights inside the open circle, with an oversized acorn ornament tucked near the top.
I love how the snowy greenery stays mostly on the left. Try a small tan bow at the bottom if you want to follow the same look.
red berries and trailing bows
If you are looking for lots of ribbon inspo, then this one is for you. There’s so much to love, from the red-and-cream plaid to the long fringed tails.
The red berries sit between brown pinecones and loose greenery. For a less Christmas-like January version, you could swap the red accents for cream while keeping those big ribbon loops.
pale berries and leafy greens
Don’t want to add a big bow? No problem!
This wreath mixes narrow green sprigs with broad gray-green leaves and clusters of pale round ornaments. I especially love it against the deep green door.

white tufts and open branches
I am obsessed with this off-center arrangement. The white fluffy tufts look so pretty among the green and brown leaves, with thin dark stems reaching beyond the circle.
Leave part of your wreath base showing on the right if you want that same open look. You don’t need to fill every little gap.
hello winter sign
Want something other than a traditional wreath? This round door sign says “hello winter” in white lettering, with big snowflakes around the edges.
The black-and-white checked bow has tiny snowflakes too. I love that extra detail beside the frosted-looking greenery across the top.
red checked mittens
How cute are these little mittens? The red-and-black checks and white cuffs sit below pinecones and red berry accents on a tall slatted hanger.
This is another door-hanger alternative rather than a wreath. If you want fewer holiday details, try a plain ribbon along the bottom instead of the red truck print.
red berries on a simple hoop
If you’re looking for a wreath that keeps the decoration in one spot, go with this leafy hoop. The greenery curves around the bottom with bright red berries across the middle.
The upper half stays bare. A narrow red hanging ribbon brings that same color up to the top without adding a bow.
striped bow and hanging bells
I love this oversized striped bow with the pale blue-gray leaves. The three gold-tone bells hang through the center at different heights.
Try long, uneven bow tails if you want to copy that loose arrangement. The bells already give you plenty of decoration below.
frosted flowers and pale leaves
Who says a winter wreath can’t have flowers? The white and pale lavender blooms look gorgeous beside the snowy-looking greenery and that white seedpod accent.
Keep the flowers along the lower half if you want to try this arrangement. I’d leave the upper branches uncovered just like these.
a little snowman band
How adorable is this snowman trio? The turquoise ring, purple hat and orange earmuffs make this one much more colorful than the neutral wreaths above.
The “Jingle Bells” banner and holly details give it a clear Christmas theme. For a January version, you could use a winter greeting and replace the holly with more snowflakes.
green leaves and a checked bow
This is such a pretty way to let a bow do most of the decorating. Rounded green leaves fill the wreath, with a large red-and-white checked bow sitting at the bottom.
If you prefer a quieter look after Christmas, try the same oversized bow in cream. I’d keep the long tails either way.
orange slices and pinecones
The orange slices are my favorite part of this wreath. They look so bright against the green branches, especially beside the brown pinecones and tied cinnamon-stick bundles.
You could follow this color combination without adding any ribbon. The little bows around the bundles are enough.
a tiny snowy house
I am obsessed with this little winter scene. It’s so cute, plus those miniature trees around the house are adorable.
The pale blue upper ring has tiny white snowflakes while the bottom is covered in thick white loops. Don’t forget a pale bow up top if you’re taking inspiration from this one.
snowflakes and a black skate
This skate-shaped hanger gives you a different way to decorate your door. I love the glittery blade and the big white snowflakes above the black boot.
The tag is Christmas-specific, so I’d replace it with a plain winter tag for January. Keep the pinecones and checked ribbon if you like the rest of the arrangement.

burgundy bow on a lantern
This one is a lantern decoration rather than a door wreath, but that burgundy bow is worth a closer look. It sits over snowy-looking greenery and trailing red berries, with tiny lights and gold-colored ornaments inside the lantern.

For a coordinating wreath, you could borrow the burgundy bow and berry combination.
white snowballs and a little bird
How sweet is that little red-breasted bird? It sits inside a ring of off-white fuzzy balls, with green branches draped over the top.
The mix of large and small balls makes this especially cute. I’d skip an extra bow here and let the bird be the colorful detail.
a leafy hoop with tiny bells
Don’t want to go overboard with the decorations? No problem!
Try a slim gold-tone hoop with greenery along the bottom and little bells hanging beneath it.
I love how the branches reach farther out on the right. There’s no need to make both sides exactly the same.
tan folds and tiny flowers
Last but definitely not least, we have this simple tan wreath with little white flowers. I love the loose folds and frayed edges!
This one leans more neutral than snowy. It’s a pretty option if you want to leave the snowflakes behind while keeping your door decorated.
